This approach promotes interdisciplinarity, linking the humanities with areas such as technology and the social sciences, and generates impact on education and public policy. However, challenges persist, such as limited funding and the tension between scientific objectivity and interpretive subjectivity. This paper explores how scientific research strengthens the humanities, highlighting success stories and reflecting on its role in building more reflective and ethical societies.
2025-09-30T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Midiala Aurora Gómez Gómez, Ania Agustina Gómez Gómez, Ernesto Javier Suárez Pons https://revistas.up.ac.pa/index.php/encuentros_educativos/article/view/8307 Teaching strategies to strengthen the educational experience of teaching planning within the faculty of pedagogy. 2025-09-30T19:31:10+00:00 Vanessa Jiménez Martínez vanessitam2002@gamil.com Miriam Alejandre Espinosa malejandre@uv.mx Elba María Méndez Casanova elmendez@uv.mx
The New Mexican School (NEM), implemented in the 2021-2022 school year, seeks excellence in the country's teachers, establishing the educational foundations in México with the support of emerging methodologies and teaching strategies. This result responds to the problem: how to offer didactic treatment to bioethics as content in the teaching-learning process of the History of Philosophy II in the Bachelor's Degree in Education, Marxism-Leninism and History? Methods were applied at the theoretical level (the study and critique of sources, supported by the procedures of analytical-synthetic logical thinking, induction-deduction, historical-logical and hermeneutic), empirical (study of products of the pedagogical process and participant observation), which allowed the development of activities of the present proposal.
2025-09-30T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Leyder Rafael Pérez Díaz , Marcos Antonio Grave de Peralta Ruiz , Manuel Sánchez Rojas https://revistas.up.ac.pa/index.php/encuentros_educativos/article/view/8313 Child violence. In this scenario, a frequent look is oriented towards child violence, which although it recognizes the different manifestations of it, emphasizes physical abuse and its consequences for the physical and mental health of children, with limited views that integrate the spectrum of this type of violence from different disciplines and scenarios. The study that is presented seeks a conceptual approach to the complexity of child violence in the current scenario. Its development in the context of the research project "Visibility and prevention of violence for the development of a culture of peace" (SOLUNA Project), makes it possible to approach the criteria of different actors as a starting point for conceptual reflections on its manifestations and properties in the light of its cultural and structural nuances.
2025-09-30T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Lenin Massó Salazar, Neris Leidys Benítez Sotolongo, Amanda de la Caridad Domínguez Piedra https://revistas.up.ac.pa/index.php/encuentros_educativos/article/view/8314 Simulation as a procedure to enhance autonomous learning in teaching careers 2025-09-30T20:00:29+00:00 Adaymí González Valdés adaymi.gonzalez@upr.edu.cu Marialina Ana García Escobio marialina.garcia@upr.edu.cu Ariel Ernesto González Díaz arielernestog85@gmail.com
This work has as an essential purpose, to explain the use of simulation as a procedure that enhances autonomous learning in the teaching careers, Specifically in the development of the teaching-awareness process (PEA) of the Degree in Spanish Education Llitatura (Leel), in a scenario marked by the self -management of knowledge with the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and in tune with the mode of professional pedagogical action of the students of this career. It derives from the tasks of the research project "Training in virtual learning environments at the University of Pinar del Río". Theoretical systematization, scientific observation and content analysis were used as fundamental methods for their execution; Likewise, the technique of methodological triangulation made it possible to contrast the survey results, the in -depth interview and the pedagogical test. All of the above, allowed to obtain a detailed description of the new dimension that must be given to the components of didactics, in the light of alternate use of digital and traditional contexts in which learning at the current Cuban University takes place. In this sense, the use of increasingly attractive procedures will be taxing the most efficient didactic treatment of the cognitive, communicative and sociocultural approach so the student who graduates as a professor of the career in question, feels better prepared to solve the dissimilar situations that arise in the acting environments in which he participates.
2025-09-30T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Adaymí González Valdés, Marialina Ana García Escobio, Ariel Ernesto González Díaz https://revistas.up.ac.pa/index.php/encuentros_educativos/article/view/8316 The Prevention of Sexual Violence against Women in the Secondary School Context: A Documentary Review 2025-09-30T20:05:04+00:00 Alexandra Neusa Ríos alexandra.neusa-r@up.ac.pa
Sexual violence against women in the context of secondary school is one of the most prevalent human rights issues, with devastating consequences for victims and their communities. From this perspective, the main objective of this article is to carry out a critical and reflective analysis of the prevention of sexual violence against women in the secondary school context. The methodology is a qualitative approach with a descriptive scope carried out through a documentary review. Three main categories are identified: gender education, sexual violence and prevention of sexual violence. It is concluded that gender education is presented as a fundamental tool to transform attitudes and behaviors of young people, promoting the understanding of gender inequalities and their implications in interpersonal relationships.
2025-09-30T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Alexandra Neusa Ríos https://revistas.up.ac.pa/index.php/encuentros_educativos/article/view/8317 Motivation and Attention as Predictors of Academic Performance 2025-09-30T20:08:41+00:00 Carolina Rivera Moreno carolina.riveramo@amigo.edu.co Pablo Andrés Orozco Builes pablo.orozcobu@amigo.edu.co César Andrés Carmona-Cardona cesar.carmonaca@amigo.edu.co
Academic performance is a complex construct influenced by multiple factors, including motivation and attention. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between these variables in students aged 9 to 12 through a narrative review. Twelve studies conducted in various educational and cultural contexts, published between 2014 and 2024, were selected, prioritizing research that addressed at least one of the variables in relation to Academic performance. The results show that intrinsic motivation is consistently associated with better academic performance, while sustained and selective attention supports task persistence and the quality of learning. The review also highlights interactions between motivation and attention, where high levels of motivation enhance attentional control. Limitations include the limited number of longitudinal studies and the reliance on grades as the sole indicator of academic performance. It is recommended that future research move toward more integrative studies with greater methodological rigor.

2025-09-30T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Carolina Rivera Moreno, Pablo Andrés Orozco Builes, César Andrés Carmona-Cardona https://revistas.up.ac.pa/index.php/encuentros_educativos/article/view/8337 Family versus educational performance in children and adolescents: A documentary review. 2025-10-02T13:15:29+00:00 Jesica Arboleda Aristizábal jesica.arboledaar@amigo.edu.co Jhoan David Correa Martínez jhoan.correama@amigo.edu.co María Camila Meneses Velásquez maria.menesesve@amigo.edu.co María Laura Ríos Arango maria.riosra@amigo.edu.co Alexander Rodríguez Bustamante alexander.rodriguezbu@amiugo.edu.co
Academic performance in children and adolescents does not depend exclusively on the quality of education provided by institutions, but also on the dynamics that take shape within the family environment. Several studies have highlighted that the interaction between family and school is a crucial factor in the learning process. However, questions remain regarding the specific impact of family relationships on academic performance, as well as the role that communication among parents, teachers, and students plays in this dynamic. This study addresses this issue through a review of academic literature produced over the past decade, employing a comparative approach that encompasses regional, departmental, and international contexts. The objective is to identify the family dynamics that influence school performance and to analyze the school's potential to mitigate limitations stemming from an unfavorable family environment. The methodology is based on a documentary review and comparative analysis of previous research. The findings underscore the importance of parental support, assertive communication, and strengthening emotional bonds at home as key elements for academic success. Likewise, the active participation of families in the educational process is shown to significantly contribute to the comprehensive development of students, fostering not only academic performance but also emotional and social well-being. In conclusion, the study highlights the importance of strengthening the bidirectional relationship between family and school through effective communication strategies and parental involvement programs, as a means to foster more inclusive, participatory, and effective educational environments.
2024-09-30T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Jesica Arboleda Aristizábal, Jhoan David Correa Martínez, María Camila Meneses Velásquez, María Laura Ríos Arango, Alexander Rodríguez Bustamante https://revistas.up.ac.pa/index.php/encuentros_educativos/article/view/8320 Editorial 2025-09-30T22:12:59+00:00 Dr. Luis Cardona editor.in.chief@uted.us 2025-09-30T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Dr. Luis Cardona
