Articles submitted to the journal Acción y Reflexión Educativa undergo an initial review to verify compliance with editorial guidelines. After this, and under the double-blind modality, the manuscript is sent to external peer reviewers.

The evaluation is carried out by two (2) evaluators who are experts in the subject, who within a maximum period of 30 days, and based on the instruments: “Evaluation of Essay-type Articles” or “Evaluation of Research-type Articles”; they issue their considerations.

 The evaluation may consider:

1. a) acceptance of the article,
2. b) publishable with modifications,
3. c) rejected.

In the case of option b) publish with modifications, a time of 10 days is considered for the author to make the suggested adjustments.

The authors will be informed of the evaluations, in all cases.

The average rejection rate for items in Acción y Reflexión Educativa between 2018 and 2022 is 38%.
