Instructions for authors

The call for submission of papers is permanent, so authors can submit their manuscripts at any time of the year.

 

Only original, unpublished, novel articles related to educational topics will be accepted.

Consider:

  • Manuscripts must use clear, precise and understandable language.
  • Writings cannot be in the process of being arbitrated or published in other media. 

 

Structure of the manuscripts:

Empirical research

 

They follow the IMRAD structure: Introduction (objectives, theoretical framework, problem), Materials and methods; Results and Discussion (including conclusions). You can add Acknowledgements if you find it appropriate.

 

  • Title: It must be succinct (maximum 15 words). Avoid using abbreviations, acronyms, and unnecessary words. It should be attractive to arouse the reader's interest In Spanish and English.
  • Author (s): Highlight whether it is multiple or individual authorship. Write first and last name in order of priority. Affiliation (Name of the institution, academic unit or department), Email (institutional preferred), ORCID and city- country.
  • Summary: It must present the problem, theoretical framework, objective, methodology, main results and conclusions. In Spanish and English. Between 250 and 300 words. It must be written in an impersonal way.
  • Key words: Between 5 and 7 keywords extracted from thesauri. In spanish and english.
  • Introduction: It must place the reader in the context and importance of the study. It can refer to the theoretical framework. It must indicate the objective.
  • Materials and method: It includes the methodological design used. It indicates the population, techniques, methodologies, tools and processes used.
  • Results: The collected data are presented in a logical and concrete sequence and their respective analysis. It can include tables, graphs, and figures.
  • Discussion/conclusion: Show how the results match, or don't, the hypotheses. It explains the theoretical consequences of the work, the possible practical applications. The findings are discussed in relation to the limitations, biases, or problems encountered.
  • References: Complete and at the end of the article. Only the references of the citations that appear in the text should be considered and presented in accordance with the APA Publications Manual (latest version).
  • Acknowledgement: Important contributions for research development (optional). 

 

Essays

 

  • Title: It must be succinct (maximum 15 words). Avoid using abbreviations, acronyms, and unnecessary words. It should be attractive to awaken the reader's interest in Spanish and English.
  • Author (s): Highlight whether it is multiple or individual authorship. Write first and last name in order of priority. Affiliation (department, research center, faculty, university), email (institutional preferred), ORCID and city-country.
  • Summary: It must capture the problem, theoretical framework, objective, methodology, main results and conclusions. In Spanish and English. Between 250-300 words. It must be written in an impersonal way.
  • Key words: Maximum 5-7 words. In spanish and english.

 

  • Introduction: It should include a brief presentation of the topic, the formulation of the purpose or objective of the study, the context of the problem and the formulation of the problem being addressed, the presentation of the idea to be defended, the justification that explains the importance, the timeliness and the relevance of the study; the methodological framework used, and finally, a brief description of the structure of the document.
  • Body: It involves putting into practice throughout the exhibition, a critical attitude that should tend towards questioning, to attract attention to the topic and problem being discussed. The writer must generate in the reader the ability to identify the dialogic intention of the proposal and promote an open discussion in him.

 

  • Conclusions: It states the results and findings objectively; it offers a vision of the implications of the work, the limitations, the tentative response to the problem, the relationships with the objective of the research and the possible lines of continuity (to meet this objective, it is suggested not to include all the results obtained in the research). The conclusions may be associated with accepted or rejected recommendations, evaluations, applications, suggestions, new relationships and hypotheses.
  • References: Complete and at the end of the article. Only the references of the citations that appear in the text should be considered and presented in accordance with the APA Publications Manual (latest version).
  • Acknowledgement: Important contributions for research development (optional).

 

Important

  • Works must be submitted in a Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx), and the file must be anonymized in File Properties, so that the identification of the author (s) does not appear.
  • Writings will follow the rules established by the American Psychological Association APA 7th Edition - Publication Manual.
  • The rules of grammar, spelling and syntax must be complied with.
  • Maximum 20 pages.
  • Line spacing 1.5
  • “Times New Roman” font, size 12.
