OAI

OAI-PMH (Open Archives Initiative – Protocol for Metadata Harvesting) is a protocol used for the transmission of metadata over the internet.

The OAI was created with the objective of developing standards to facilitate the interoperability of content on the internet, therefore, it is not a project centered on scientific publications, but rather on the communication of metadata on any electronic medium.
We understand that metadata are information systems for the purposes of description, administration, use, preservation, etc. That allows you to identify, describe and retrieve the content of an electronic information resource.
