Índigo Panamá it is a scientific journal specializing in design, architecture, art and museums. It is a specialized scientific publication published semiannually by the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the San Miguelito Regional University Center, University of Panama. Indigo Panama is no longer a journal focused on academic outreach and curricular outreach activities, but has grown to become a specialized and scientific journal in four areas.

All articles in the journal will be peer-reviewed by expert reviewers, using a double-blind peer-review methodology; that is, the referees are unaware of the authors of the manuscript, and the authors have no access to the referees' identities.

Referees will be recognized specialists in the various areas of knowledge covered by the journal and will be appointed by the Editor/Editorial Board, ensuring the inclusion of internationally recognized referees.

MISSION
To communicate the results of research, projects, and problem-solving in design, art, and technology. Promoting constant innovation in development across its various areas: architectural, graphic, fashion, industrial, and interior design, museums, and art in all its forms; generating creative change and innovating through a community identity, applying technological, political, and social knowledge through ethical, critical, transparent, and investigative professional practice, fostering positive transformations under principles of sustainability for society and the physical environment.

VISION
To promote research, publication, and dissemination of scientific articles in the journal's specialization area of ​​design, art, and technology: with the aim of transforming the creative and innovative thinking of researchers, professors, professionals, and students in the use and application of science in design and its use with Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Starting in july 2025, Índigo Panamá will introduce a purely scientific edition in electronic format, with a semi-annual publication frequency, published in Spanish, English and Portuguese (Brazil).
