The purpose of the journal SCIENTIA is to publish original and unpublished research results in Natural and Exact Sciences, Earth Sciences, and Computational Sciences. It is edited by the Vice-Rectory of Research and Postgraduate Studies of the University of Panama, whose purpose is to contribute to the advancement of scientific and technological knowledge at national and international level. It is published in the form of an annual volume, which is divided into two issues or fascicles and occasionally special issues. The journal reserves the right to approve or reject papers submitted for consideration. The originals of approved papers will remain in the Editor's archives.

Periodicity: Semi-annual (January - June, July - December).
