Abstract

Approach to the use of web 2.0 in the learning process. In this paper the main aim is to analyze the knowledge and use that secondary students have on popular Web 2.0 tools, especially those related to social networks, and their use in the learning process. Method: Participants were 307 adolescents in Asturias (55.7% girls, mean age = 15 mese and 6 months). Results: Web 2.0 tools used are Google (97.4%), followed by Wikipedia (96.4%), third find You Tube (95.8%), followed by Tuenti (90.6%). Among the lesser-used tools include the Ixquick metasearch tool and concept mapping CMaps Tools that only 2.3% of students indicate use it, only 3.3% of students use Wikispace and 3.9% Scridb.
