Vanguardia Jurídica is a biannual academic publication, edited by the National Directorate of Legal Advisory of the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic of Panama, in collaboration with the University of Panama. It was created with the purpose of becoming a rigorous and plural space for legal analysis, critical reflection, and academic exchange, fostering the advancement of legal knowledge in dialogue with other disciplines.
Specializing in legal and political studies, the journal is governed by high editorial and ethical standards, promoting the dissemination of scientific articles, jurisprudential commentaries, academic essays, and doctrinal contributions that address contemporary challenges of the legal system and its relationship with society.
Committed to an interdisciplinary vision, Vanguardia Jurídica encourages critical thinking on normative, institutional, and social transformations that impact the law, thereby contributing to the strengthening of legal debate at both national and international levels.

General Objetive:
To consolidate an academic space of excellence for the dissemination of well-founded legal opinions, fostering research, argumentative debate, and critical analysis, with the aim of strengthening legal culture and the development of an informed and participatory citizenry.
Objetives Specific:

To promote the publication of original articles, jurisprudential analyses, doctrinal research, and other legal texts of interest, covering both public and private law.

To disseminate the results of relevant legal research at the national and international levels, contributing to the understanding of key issues related to the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic and the Panamanian legal framework.

Content
The journal is open to the academic, legal, and professional community at large. It accepts contributions that address relevant issues in legal and political sciences, such as legal theory and philosophy, constitutional law, administrative law, criminal law, civil law, international law, sociology of law, legal history, law and politics, public ethics and governance, among other approaches that allow for solid and up-to-date legal argumentation.
