Abstract

The evaluation, co-evaluation and self-evaluation were carried out in the teaching-learning process through tasks and objective tests; instruments used by most teachers. The structure of the rubric was not built in a coherent and systemic way; it did not integrate taxonomic components and did not correspond to progress in learning. Therefore, the objective of this research was to design a socioformative taxonomic rubric in the subject of mathematics as an innovative evaluation instrument, elaborated in a systemic and coherent way. The research is descriptive, it seeks to characterize the structure of the taxonomic rubric applied to mathematics. The methodology was mixed; qualitative by the systematic review of the literature and documentary analysis, which gave rise to the interpretations of the results of the survey applied to 145 university students and quantitative by determining the internal consistency of the instrument in data processing and representation in statistical graphics. The socioformative taxonomic rubric redefined the structure of the rubric and all its components by applying it as a comprehensive assessment instrument in the subject of mathematics. It was concluded that the rubric generated a new and innovative construct for the discussion and enrichment of the methodological heritage in mathematics and in educational evaluation.
