Abstract

The comprehensive training of professionals with skills to perform in different communities implies the curricularization of socio-educational practices. In the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences of the National University of the Center of Buenos Aires Province (FCV-UNICEN), Argentina, the planning and implementation of an itinerary that integrates socio-educational practices (PSE) within the framework of the functions of teaching, extension and research. In these practices, students are involved in work with real situations that associate professional practices and community problems, with different levels of complexity depending on their study year . The objective of this work is to describe the academic itinerary in PSE characterizing its curricular and extracurricular activities. The narration and description of the experience is carried out, from its theoretical framework and dimensions of analysis considered for its systematization, its structure, the activities proposed for its monitoring and evaluation, and the role of the participating actors. To carry out this systematization of the itinerary, we worked with qualitative methodologies, through the visions of the territorial actors and the institution, from which the experience and the challenges for its continuation are rescued.
