Abstract

Institutes in the University of Panamá are academic instances which contribute to research, extension, specialized services, continuing education, higher education teaching and other functions stated in the university’s current bylaws. These academic bodies lead in the coordination, planning and follow up of actions and activities of different areas. They are models of academic structures which combine the dynamics of new and varied development and functioning techniques. This paper highlights the academic and scientific work carried out at these institutes in the University of Panama, and their contribution to the improvement and solution of different situations of their expertise, contributing to the development of our country.
