There has been an increased interest in investigating, studying and analyzing the work environment, and the various causes that affect employees, and as a consequence, performance and efficiency. For this reason, we consider the study of various factors, which do not allow effective development of team members and, consequently, of operations. A study will be conducted in internal areas of local entities of the city of Chitré (public and private), whose effects are reflected in the results of the surveys carried out in person, as a result of the behavior of the collaborators versus their competences, as an influence of leadership performance in the workplace environment. It was found that 97% of the collaborators of the public entity and 90% of the private entity require an example of leadership to achieve efficient performance. Considering that the results depend on some aspects such as communication, teamwork, knowledge, and skills, the outcome will be reflected in a good work environment and results.
