Abstract

The aim of this study is to know the teachers' perception of their skills and that of the students, in the virtual master's and postgraduate courses of the Regional University Center of Veraguas. The Universidad de Panama trained 77.78% and 62.96% use its services in virtual classes. In the "digital content creation" dimension, more than 50% make use of basic digital skills. More than 80% admit that they rarely create audio or video files. In the “communication and collaboration” dimension, more than 57% frequently use discussion forums. Occasionally, 57.7% make use of social networks and collaboration with other colleagues. In the "computerization and information literacy" dimension, content curation is frequently used by 30.8% and open educational resources (are occasionally used) by 84.6%. Seventy percent of teachers consider that students have difficulty obtaining and selecting relevant information
