This is a descriptive exploratory study, whose purpose is to know to what extent academic training of the Economics and the Banking and Finances graduates from the Centro Regional Universitario de Veraguas (University of Panama) is in correspondence with the demands of the labor market requirements, and which recommendations the graduates would make to improve the curriculum of their careers and the relationship between the graduates and the University. This study was applied to a sample of 89 graduates from Banking and Finances and 47 graduates from Economics. The results were: 73% of the surveyed individuals answered that University covered their labor expectations in 75% to 100%. A 53.2% of the Economists and a 55% of the Finance graduates answered that their ability to make tasks was an ability developed in their life as students in a 75%. More of the 70% of the graduates in Economics, and in Banking and Finances answered that the academic training they received as students was in accordance with the labor market requirements in more than 80%. In addition, the surveyed came up with suggestions like content update, and made emphasis on more practical aspects and participation in research projects.
