Abstract

Millennials are a generation of young people born in the 80s, a digital generation with recognized social and ethical values, characteristics that lead to diverse worlds when it comes to reflecting them in architectural spaces.  For this reason, the concern arises to carry out a relevant study to provide knowledge of the needs that this generation requires through a paradigm shift. The objective of this research was to analyze the characteristics of spatial preference of the Millennial generation for the development of their activities, for this a qualitative, transversal and non-experimental methodology was used, the sampling universe was 522 random millennials, with gender Indistito and age range of 25 to 41 years from various locations in Jalisco, Mexico, questionnaires were applied with the Google digital format.  For data analysis and processing, Pearson Correlation was used with the IBM SPSS program version 20 to indicate the level of association of ordinal and non-parametric variables. It is concluded that this generation of inhabitants are from the digital age and choose to have greater independence in their way of living, in addition, in small spaces they can carry out their activities and attend to their personal relationships, however, the socialization factor can be compromised.
