Being part of the International Services Platform (PSI), the motivated study of Free Trade Zones is merited to know the economic impact in terms of production, gross value added and jobs that it has on the rest of the economy and that in turn becomes the main objective of this research. To this end, the measurement of the economic impact has been developed, as part of the methodology of the Input-Output Tables (TIO), which in this case will require the symmetrical TIO of Panama 45X45 with references to the year 2018 and with measurements of chained volumes. The results show the importance of this axis of the PSI, reaching the second position of the total impact in relation to GDP in 2019, below the International Banking Center and above the Panama Canal; as of 2020, it has become the third activity with the greatest impact after the health crisis that substantially affected trade.
