Because there is little information on this bird in the wild, we present a series of observations of a successful nest in the Darién Province, Panama (8.4348286N, -77.93783877W). Over a period of just over 80 days, using a dead Cavanillesia platanifolia (Cuipo) tree, the Chestnut-fronted Macaw (Ara severus) incubated for about 30 days. The chick remained in the nest for a minimum of 9 weeks, and a year later, all three individuals were observed together. These reports contribute to updating and understanding the reproductive dynamics of the species in the country, as these observations are uncommon or poorly documented to date.
