Abstract

The flora and aquatic vegetation of the State Reserve Las Estacas are described, is a protected natural area consisting of several aquatic ecosystems that are privileged for the state of Morelos and México, as well as being represented with a variety of habitats that maintain a diversity of aquatic plants native to the region tropical country and state. The Reserve is represented by a floristic richness: 19 families, 23 genera and 28 species, of which 22 are strictly aquatic, and six are subaquatic. The dominant biological form is herbaceous with 26 species, represented by rooted hydrophytes emerging with 17 species, rooted submerged with five, free floating and free submerged with one, respectively. The tree is represented by two species, representing the type of vegetation in riparian deciduous and evergreen forest. In this regard it should be noted that in case of vascular aquatic plants, is very broad field to be explored as to the ANP’s of Morelos and the national and global levels.
