The following research article focuses on the analysis of the concept of Human Dignity in relation to women; for which its changing role is studied within the historical development of the concept, emphasizing gender violence as an emergence of non-recognition of the Human Dignity of women before the 19th century. For this, an exhibition is first made on the concept of Human Dignity within philosophy; subsequently the place of women in history is observed and finally the phenomenon of gender violence is analyzed as a result of the late recognition of the Human Dignity of women at the sociological level.
