In this article we treat the theme of Transmodernity in Enrique Dussel as a utopia. We also clarify what it is not. This proposal is systematic and is fundamentally based on the principle of the reproduction and affirmation of life, and ultimately this requires an ethical and political commitment. There is no single point of departure, but we are aware that life is the foundation.
