The objective of this research is to carry out a study on the manifestations of Martín Morúa Delgado's political thought from the end of the 19th century to the first republican decade. To carry out the same, primary and secondary sources were consulted that allowed interpreting the development and transit of his thought. The importance of the issue lies in highlighting the role played by Martín Morúa Delgado within the process of structuring the Cuban nationality, which he conceived through the integration of all the ethnic components of the nation. The novelty of the subject is the analysis of a little-studied personality within Cuban historiography.
