In the social context, the group of young university students globally in an age range of 16 to
35 years has evidenced a high degree of affectation as a result of the impact of Covid-19, a
reality that is not alien to the Latin American context and in particular to the environment of
the city of Bogotá. The central problem addressed in this article revolves around proposing an
analysis of employability and possibilities of work placement, a highly incident factor in the
possibilities of local development. The methodology revolves around a type of descriptive
research with a method of quantitative analysis, based on the design and application of
a structured survey, identifying 138 people as a sample. The results obtained reflect that
for the population group analyzed if there was evidence of an affectation in the levels of
employability and permanence in work, observing that 38% of the population is unemployed,
and that the population between 16 and 25 years old consider that the pandemic caused by
Covid-19 made their levels of income will decrease along with their job stability.
