This investigation was carried out aiming to know the correlations existence between the families of Collembola and the edaphic chemical factors in a grassland ecosystem under the effect of herbicide Paraquat, during the rainy and dry season. It took place at Ollas Arriba, Capira in Panama Oeste. The specimens of Collembola were collected using pitfall traps, finding 8 families. A chemical analysis was done of the soil, to determine the edaphic chemical variables of the areas studied. By means of a Principal Component test, edaphic chemical factors were determined with presented higher weight on the Collembola,s families. Using the Pearson Correlation test, correlations existence were stablished between the families of Collembola and edaphic chemical factors. A Cluster Bray-Curtis Analisys generated dendrograms with confirmed the similarities or correlations existence between Collembola and edaphic chemical factors of the areas studied.
