The main objective is the generation of knowledge and the development of new tools in the biotechnology and science in the materials for the regenerative medicine that, a long way, will help to better the learning and treatment of the osteoporosis in Panama.
The specific objective of this project is create nanostructures in the surface of the particles of titanium (micro-transportation) through the techniques of hydrothermal treatment (e.g. acid attack using nitric, oxalic and formic acids) in some concentrations and temperatures we modified the surface of these particles.
Our results don't achieve to be conclusive, but also shows the potential of surface nanomodification of 99.9 % pure titanium particles of the protocols developed during the studies, and in the same time details the methodologies to characterize in effective way these micro-transporters with the use of tools of surface analysis available in Panama, as the scanning electronic microscope (SEM)
