Abstract

In the year 2014 butterflies were collected on the short trail "Helechos" of the protected area, capturing a total of 140 individuals from the families Nymphalidae (72.9%, 12 species) and Erebidae, Hesperiidae, Pieridae and Papilionidae (27.3%, 11 species). The catch area showed to be moderately diverse with (H'= diversity index = 2.14), with a high probability of finding up to 6 more species (Chao-1 = 35: 24-41).
