The main objective of this research was to evaluate the grain yield of four maize cultivars. Carried out at Finca Aranda, Corregimiento de Pocrí, District of Pocrí, Province of Los Santos, during the rainy season. The maize cultivars P30-F35, SV 1020, IDIAP 1102 and ADV 9293 were evaluated. Implementing a randomized complete forest design (DBCA), with four treatments and five blocks. When applying the analysis of variance, it was demonstrated with an ? significance of 0.05 that the four maize cultivars presented significant statistical differences in grain yield, the best cultivars being ADV 9293 with 6.4 Ton/ha and P30-F35 with 6.1 Ton. /ha, the cultivars SV 1020 and IDIAP 1102 showed the lowest grain yield with 4.8 Ton/ha and 4.3 respectively. Concluding that the values ??obtained in this trial coincide with the results presented in the evaluation of maize hybrids in the Mesoamerican region, PCCMCA 2021, under identical agronomic conditions, for which it is imperative to carry out evaluations of agricultural practices aimed at increasing yield. and decrease the cost of production.
