The purpose of this research is to present the characteristics and composition of the labor market in the provincial environment. The methodology involves the participation of each branch or economic activity, considering the International Uniform Industrial Classification (IUIC), using the provincial accounts of Panama West, the structure of full-time equivalent employment generated for 2018 and the input-output table (IOTs) of the year 2018, elaborated from the supply and use tables presented by National Institute of Statistics and Census (NISC) in November 2020.The results show greater participation in jobs derived from the primary subsectors and domestic services for private households, characterizing their labor market as part of the Panamanian rural environment, precarious and with low qualifications.
