Abstract

The relational communication for nursing care is a study carried out at the Regional University Center of Azuero, with the aim of analyzing the training in relational care and interpreting the meaning given to the student's experience. Mixed type study with convergent parallel design. The techniques used: self-assessment of the development of relational communication, field observation during clinical practice and in-depth interview with students. The relational communication for nursing care in the student's training is given by conventional, informative or utilitarian relationships and finally the personal relationship. The nursing student's experience reflects a theoretical and practical decontextualization in the formation of relational communication for nursing care, which allows us to provide the emerging scheme that makes relational communication visible as an element inherent in nursing care training.
