Abstract

The Virtual Education Environments took on special, and vital, importance because of the preventive isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It has been the possible way of the continuity of the educational process of the universities and expression of the advancement of the educational informatics of the sector in the country. Its use also demonstrated social and knowledge deficiencies, among which is the digital teaching praxis. This article of reflection deals with the need / obligation to change the role of the teacher to adapt to the social transformations, and to the labor world that advances in educational informatics imply. It is an analysis accompanied by different documents that address the subject, without being a state of the art, in Panama within the context of social urgency that is experienced and which threatens to become a new reality
