This study identifies the key requirements for designing an educational web platform aimed at teaching and preserving knowledge of the traditional musical instruments of Panamanian folklore. The primary objective is to specify the requirements needed for the analysis and design of the platform, which is intended for middle school students and their teachers. The research employed a descriptive, exploratory, and non-experimental design. From a population of 264 students, a sample of 160 was drawn. Data were collected through surveys and a structured interview with the music teacher responsible for the course. Results emphasize the importance of integrating multimedia resources (videos, audio files, and interactive animations), gamified activities (interactive quizzes), and an achievement system that provides feedback in multiple formats (numeric, audio, or video). The study concludes that incorporating information and communication technologies (ICT) into music education increases motivation, fosters meaningful learning, and supports the preservation of Panamanian cultural heritage, offering an innovative tool for the teaching–learning process.
