The student and youth movement in Panama played a fundamental role not only in being the backbone of the entire popular and social movement in Panama, of being the quarry of Panamanian militants, cadres and popular and social leaders, but being one of the key players in Panamanian political life. Since the foundation of the first Student Federation of Panama (1922-1927) to the second Student Federation of Panama (1943-1984), the Panamanian student and youth movement was a benchmark of struggles, proposals, ideals and values, of milestones historical events that have been part of our calendar of nationality and of our struggle for national and social liberation. In the framework of the centenary of the Reformation of Cordoba, Argentina and the bicentenary of the birth of the lawyer, philosopher, sociologist and German economist Karl Marx (1818-1883) we review and analyze one of the most celebrated and courageous chapters of history of Panamanian youth.
