Human development is conditioned by various factors. But if the power structures interfere with the access of these, the human groups will remain in a state of poverty which will be transmitted to successive generations. Afro-descendants are a human group that have long been in marginalization as a result of the economic models that used them as merchandise and labor. In these processes they have been treated as objects. His human dignity, culture, traditions, history and contributions were unknown. Even when the Afro-descendants have made resistance and their leaders have promoted the struggle to rescue their values, there is still to be done. The Decade of People of African Descent is an initiative of the United Nations Organization that opposes racism that has been one of the causes of the stagnation of this group. Urges all peoples to fight for recognition of their rights.
