Forty years ago, the Argentine Republic recovered the Malvinas, South Georgia and Sandwich Islands, as well as the surrounding areas, in a legitimate action on the insular and maritime territory usurped by English colonialism. Faced with this situation, the Panamanian government carried out a titanic job in the UN and in the OAS, in defense of the Argentine cause, which is not different from the one raised by the Republic of Panama in that viacrucis for the eradication of the US colonial enclave, the delivery of the Canal to the territorial sovereign and the removal of foreign military bases from the national territory. This essay explains the different solidarity actions of our country, in these international forums, with the purpose of making reason and International Law prevail in favor of the peoples who still fight for their decolonization today.
