This essay highlights the life and personality of Dr. Justo Arosemena, who is considered the most illustrious of Panamanians and the father of the nation. His family origin is unraveled on his paternal and maternal sides, but above all, the performance of this citizen in Colombian and Panamanian politics of the 19th century is exposed with greater zeal, where he was characterized by his iron character, his acute intelligence and his proven honesty. Likewise, his holographic will is broken down, in which the lack of material goods is observed; but his greatest legacy, upon abandoning earthly life, was to leave future generations, as the north to follow, the extraordinary legacy of his life in the service of the nation and his exemplary conduct.
