In the Republic of Panama, the declaration of unconstitutionality is established as a tool that guarantees legal order through respect for its constitution. This article about the effects of the declaration of unconstitutionality in Panama seeks to establish a legal analysis in order to know the effects that said declaration entails, among which we can mention the acts that contravene the political constitution, the elimination of legal regulations, the impact to security and its limited retroactivity. We will also proceed to address the institutional balance, the significance of the separation of powers, highlighting the main function of the Supreme Court of Justice in order to guarantee constitutional order and the protection of the rule of law and democratic principles in the country.
