Abstract

This article analyzes the implementation of the Outsourcing business model and its relationship with the organizational development of companies in Panama City, and identifies the concepts of the study variables. The methodology is framed within the positivist and quantitative research paradigm. The type of research is descriptive, correlational, with a non-experimental, transactional and field design. The universe was 1,600 companies affiliated to the Panama Chamber of Commerce. Seventy-eight organizations that implement the Outsourcing model were selected as population. Of these firms, 48 were chosen through random sampling and one manager was selected to represent each organization. The observation technique was used by means of a survey and its instrument was the questionnaire, which was tested for content validity and reliability through a pilot test, obtaining a Cronbach's Alpha coefficient of .848. The results showed that there is a significant statistical correlation between the variables Outsourcing implementation and organizational development. In conclusion, it is affirmed that outsourcing is presented as an alternative for strengthening business structures in companies in Panama City.
