The theory of social imaginary is widely developed in the Social Sciences, since it encompasses the conception of individuals reflected in a historical construction of meanings, symbols, representations. Therefore, there is a view of society looking at the multifaceted and interdisciplinary nature of its fields of study, so that the imaginaries and traditionally studied structures can be separated. This study aims to delve into the applicability of social imaginaries and move from seeing them only as an idea to studying them as a category of historical construction that has an impact on state and private actions generally validated. The main conclusion is that the construction of social imaginaries is reproduced and validated from the power groups (established - dominant), but at the same time there are forces that break the established order and originate new ways of thinking (instituting - radical - dominated)
