Abstract

This photo essay is a reflection on the violence that revolves around the street life in Mexico City. This phenomenon, a product of a social order, reflects the inequality, institutional and social exclusion faced by street people when they want to access a government service.  According to the Mexican anthropologist Ali Ruiz Coronel, this phenomenon intensified in the streets of Mexico City (CDMX) during the COVID-19 pandemic, starting in 2019.
