Abstract

Social services play a fundamental role in protecting the human rights of migrants and refugees by offering essential support for their integration and well-being. First of all, these services provide basic assistance, such as housing, food and medical care, ensuring dignified conditions for those who have left their countries in search of safety and opportunities. In addition, by offering orientation and training programs, social services facilitate cultural adaptation and learning of the language of the host country, which in turn promotes economic and social inclusion. Social services also have a crucial role in identifying and addressing situations of vulnerability, such as human trafficking, labor exploitation, and abuse. By establishing support networks and collaborating with government agencies and non-governmental organizations, these problems can be adversely addressed and ensure that migrants and refugees are protected from abuses and violations of their fundamental rights. Likewise, the methodology of this work was based on a quantitative research, field type, under the descriptive level. Specifically, the sample size was twenty (20) social service professionals in the protection of the human rights of migrants and refugees.
