Social communication does not show significant strengths in scientific research, which is why it is necessary to foster and promote a research culture. The purpose of the study is to carry out a systematicreview of the research culture in the training of researchers in social communication and analyze the advances and challenges, with the aim of identifying experiences, strategies, methods and actions that can be replicated as good practices. The research used the descriptive, analytical method and the use of qualitative techniques. Based on the state of the art, a review is made of the international, regional and local academic literature in databases and academic repositories to which we had access, from which we selected 15 studies, which evidence the concepts of investigative culture and training in social communication for the last 5 years (2023-2018). The findings reflect the concern of academies, organizations and researchers for training in research culture and it is concluded that it is necessary to implement and monitor the research culture and integrate a research system in the training of trainers in universities and communication faculties social.
