The district of Cañazas suffers multiple health problems, and during the last two years there has been a decrease in attendance at the dental office at the San Francisco Javier de Cañazas Hospital; some patients are absent even for more than 3 years, putting their oral health at risk. The main objective of this research was to identify the social determinants of non-attendance patients at the dental service. The variables analyzed were: low level of education, family income, and geographic accessibility to the dental service, within the type of descriptive and cross-sectional research. The results that emerged from the study determined the variables that most affect non-attendance at dental appointments and recommendations were made to the dental department to improve care.
