Abstract

Anterior open bites due to bad habit of finger sucking are common in the comprehensive clinic of the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Panama. The use of fixed appliances to eliminate the bad habit is a common treatment. This case is different since when comparing the lateral teleradiographs of the skull, the change in the position of the permanent lower incisor can be observed. This is not usual.
