Abstract

Clinical decision making is a complex process that is influenced by clinical and non-clinical factors. The study of clinical decision making provides a model on which a dental practice can be based as it allows promoting the standardization of patient care and dental treatment. Decision analysis can help identify relevant information that is missing in certain clinical problems in order to generate relevant investigations.
