The relationship between milk production and some factors of the social, productive and administrative dimension of farms located in Tortí (Chepo, Panama) and some counties of Darién was evaluated. The data was obtained through a survey carried out in the 2016/2017 production period. All results were described through central tendency measures. A Principal Component Analysis and the elaboration of a model of the productive condition were performed. The analyzes allowed us to infer that few variables affected the variation of the system, with the age of the owner, veterinary and agronomic assistance, the extension of properties and productivity being the ones with the greatest contribution. Activities related to administrative practices were common in most counties and were related to better productivity rates on farms with small areas of land.
