The current functioning of the countries is causing a notable alteration in the environment in multiple facets, precisely one of these manifestations is the degradation of the sound environment. The present work was carried out with a purpose, which is to create awareness in all those people who are behind the wheel of a means of transport that can be a private car, taxi or a public transport minibus. The general objective is to find the relationship between the level of this type of pollution and the degree of environmental awareness by drivers in the city of Cusco. This study has a correlational scope, for which an instrument was developed that is a structured survey (validated by 3 experts), considering a data analysis plan for convenience, surveying 50 drivers from both the high-traffic zone and the zone low traffic. The method has a quantitative approach and is of a non-experimental type, data were obtained without manipulating the variables through the surveys that gave important information regarding environmental awareness. The results show that the attitude is not very favorable towards the care of our environment and the health of all citizens exposed to high levels of noise. Statistical analyzes showed that the relationship between both variables is minimal. In conclusion, we can mention that the relationship between the degree of environmental awareness and the level of noise pollution by drivers in the city of Cusco is minimal. The relationship that exists between the degree of environmental awareness and the level of noise pollution in high traffic areas, resulted in a level of the determination factor of R2 of 0.087, that is, there is a positive relationship weak between both variables.
