This article shows the perception of the social and environmental problems of the students who were studying the subject Society, Environment and Development at the Regional University Center of Coclé, during the first semester of the year 2022. This is a descriptive, cross-sectional investigation. The opinion of the students was the common thread, to understand the social reality that Cocle's homes are experiencing. From these elements it is possible to create explanatory constructs of this historical moment that the province of Coclé is experiencing and by extension the entire Republic of Panama.
The student population studying the subject: Society, Environment and Development, at the Regional University Center of Coclé, was surveyed, seeking to capture the perception of the 112 students enrolled. Of the total, only 98 students answered the survey (87.5%).
