Abstract

This research is the product of the effort of a group of student members of the seedbed of researchers from the Faculty of Nursing; its purpose was to characterize a group of adolescents with life project, in order to identify its profile as a protective element or factor of success for this age group subjected to a variety of risks. The questions of the instrument were elaborated relating them with the four basic dimensions of the human being: biological, spiritual, affective, socio-cultural and later integrated the 43 questions resulting in a questionnaire type survey. The instrument was applied to all of the students in the second cycle of a small public school located in the city of Santiago de Veraguas, resulting 64 subjects of studies. Results: The age of respondents ranged between 14 and 19 years, being the group 16 years the most voluminous with 28.1%, followed by 17 years with 26.6%. With regard to sex, 57.8% were male and 42.2% female. 52% of women said they had a life project, compared to 37.8% of males. The profile of each dimension of human development was built with the highest relative percentages of each variable of the adolescent group with Life project.
