For the analysis of the research, the non-parametric statistical test Pearson's Chi square was used; the test determines whether there is an association between two categorical variables, whether dichotomous or polytomous. The objective of the research was to analyze, using Pearson's Chi square statistical test, whether there is an association between human resources in the production plant and preference for jobs in the empanadas, S.A. company. Panama, 2023. The research was carried out in the empanada production plant in the three production shifts. Human resources were categorized as human talent and regular human resources and jobs were categorized as product preparation, product packaging, and product quality. The methodology used was mixed empirical, with a qualitative and quantitative approach. Information was collected from a population of ninety employees using the survey technique and the questionnaire in the production plant was used as a measurement instrument. The data analysis was carried out in the IBM SPSS statistical program, version 26. The result determined that there is an association between human talent and the quality control position and the other positions represent a low percentage. Data analysis represents a high percentage of acceptance in the other positions. In conclusion, the preference for human talent is inclined with a high percentage in the different analysis jobs.
