Abstract

A study was carried out on the historical issues addressed by women dedicated to the poetic profession during the Bicentennial, a period from 1821 to 2021. The search for information was carried out on websites, almost entirely, due to the Pandemic. Thus, it was determined that a hundred women wrote poetry, but only thirteen of them were inspired by themes related to the homeland's history. Among these, five events stood out: January 9, the Panama Canal, November 3 and the Thousand Days War. The most important was January 9, since eight poetesses used it in their literary creations. Likewise, it can be pointed out that Panamanian poets do not opt for the country's history.
