Abstract

The production of audiovisual television promotion of Panamanian content is an important segment in the entertainment industry, since television has a very high reach in the population. This sector of the industry is vital to increase audience ratings, so it is justified to develop research in this environment. The purpose of this research is to examine the process of production and promotion of audiovisual material for the promotion of Panamanian television content, from the point of view of national producers, identifying the creative strategies, the resources used and their impact on the audience. The methodology used had a qualitative, exploratory-descriptive and cross-sectional approach, where 5 producers of television content for audiovisual content of local production participated, who participated anonymously and confidentially. The sample is homogeneous and non-probabilistic, so the information generated does not have the purpose of generalizing, but rather of generating knowledge for educational purposes, mainly, since there are no national records on the subject in the Panamanian industry. The study is intended to be the beginning of a series of writings, as scientific research is lacking. The Panamanian audiovisual industry does not have a uniform methodology for the production of trailers or promotions for the contents of the Panamanian television screens, the producers are responsible for executing the necessary actions to obtain the product, where each one has worked as they could, the country has the human talent to develop this sector, so it should be stimulated.
